Following continuing snowfall, the Srinagar Airport management announced on Wednesday that all flights of all airlines had been cancelled.
Because the visibility is only 400 metres, flights are still cancelled. They also stated that all flights, regardless of airline, had been delayed. “We will keep you updated on flight status,” Srinagar Airport officials said. The authorities further said that all the passengers will be further adjusted to forth coming flights as and when they will be available.

It is here worth to mention that if you have to come to Srinagar or have an any emergency travel from Srinagar to outside Kashmir then you have to buy a new ticket at a new fare which is totally unfair. Former chief minister Omar Abdullah tweets …
“This is how passengers to Srinagar are getting shafted by airlines – all flights got cancelled today & people who had paid ₹3000/4000 for their seats are told to rebook. Suddenly the same flights are being quoted at ₹12,000/₹14,000. Day light robbery & no government intervenes”
